Old Disneyland Paris annual passes: from Dream to today’s range

Since the park opened in 1992, several annual pass ranges have followed one another at Disneyland Paris, with different names and perks. Here’s a quick tour of the ranges regulars have known, from the Dream range to the current one.

Several pass ranges since 1992

Over the years, Disneyland Paris has reworked its annual pass offer. With each overhaul, the pass names and perks changed: number of access days, discounts, members-only services and so on.

The very first years are poorly documented. So I start with the ranges most regulars have known, from the Dream range onwards. For the range on sale today, see the complete Disneyland Pass guide.

The Dream range: Francilien, Fantasy and Dream

Before 2017, and for many years, the range was built on three passes:

Francilien
the entry-level pass, originally reserved for residents of the Paris region.
Fantasy
the mid-range pass.
Dream
the most complete pass, with the most perks (almost unlimited access, early entry to the park, wider discounts). It was the pass for true regulars.

My boyfriend had Dream passports and knew this period well.

The Magic range: the Discovery, the Magic Flex, the Magic Plus and the Infinity

In 2017, Disneyland Paris overhauled its offer with four new passes, from the most basic to the most complete:

Discovery
the cheapest, with many blockout days.
Magic Flex
one step up, with discounts.
Magic Plus
almost unlimited access and more perks.
Infinity
the top of the range, with unlimited access and VIP parking closest to the entrance.

This range also brought in monthly payments. The higher you went in the range, the more access days, discounts (shops, restaurants, tickets) and perks such as Extra Magic Time you got.

Depending on the tier, these Magic passes came with other perks that have since disappeared: free pushchair and wheelchair hire, free use of the kennel and the luggage storage lockers, reserved spots for parades and shows, dedicated park entrances and a discount on Disneyland Paris stays.

The Magic Plus and Infinity passes also gave access to Privilege Tickets, to bring family and friends at a discounted price: they were the forerunners of Friends Tickets. I cover them in my article on the former Privilege Ticket.

The end of the Magic range

Sales of the Magic range were suspended in March 2023, before a new range was announced in July 2023. Several perks of the old passes disappeared at that point, such as the VIP parking reserved for Infinity holders. These old passes came as a physical card, the passport. The switch to the Disneyland Pass brought a 100% digital format, with no card.

Frequently asked questions

01 What were the old Disneyland Paris annual passes?

Before the current range, there was the Dream range (Francilien, Fantasy and Dream), then the Magic range (Discovery, Magic Flex, Magic Plus and Infinity). Several other ranges have existed since 1992, but they’re less well documented.

02 What was the Infinity pass at Disneyland Paris?

The Infinity was the top pass in the Magic range (2017-2023): unlimited access, VIP parking and Privilege Tickets to invite family and friends. It was replaced by the Gold pass in the current range.

03 Do these old passes still exist?

No. The Dream range and then the Magic range were replaced by the current range, the Disneyland Pass. You’ll find all the details in the complete guide to the Disneyland Pass.
