At a glance

Princess Pavilion Photographs fills the last wing of Princess Pavilion, in Fantasyland, and marks the exit of the Disney Princesses: A Royal Invitation attraction.

The outside borrows from Sleeping Beauty Castle, with pink and greyish-blue tones, gold trim and a little turret. Inside, the setting evokes a medieval royal court: candle chandeliers, burgundy carpets, velvet drapes, stained-glass windows showing the castles of the Disney Princesses and display cases of their best-known objects: Snow White’s apple, the rose from Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella’s slipper, Aladdin’s lamp, Ursula’s shell and Rapunzel’s enchanted flower.

After the meet and greet, a desk lets you view, buy or transfer your photos to Disney PhotoPass+ (the photo bundle for your trip), printed or digital, with a selection of photo frames and merchandise on top.

The princesses who welcome guests at the pavilion include Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle and Rapunzel, plus, more occasionally, Tiana, Merida, Jasmine or Mulan.

What makes it stand out

A souvenir photo of your royal audience. This photo shop marks the end of the Disney Princesses: A Royal Invitation attraction, which opened in 2011 and whose spiral shape is a leftover from the old World Chorus post-show of It’s a Small World. It’s where you pick up the professional photo taken during your meeting with a Disney Princess, which can be added to the Disney PhotoPass+ service.

History

The pavilion opened on 8 October 2011. The building stands where Le Monde en Chœur (World Chorus) used to be, a post-show of the It’s a Small World ride that ran from 1992 to 2010, sponsored first by France Télécom and then by Orange. The spiral shape of the interior is a leftover from it. Originally, a wall of frames hid screens showing the photos that had just been taken. It was removed so as not to give away which princess was waiting in the alcove next door.

Your questions about this shop

01 Where can you shop for Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?

You have four main options: the shops in Disneyland Park (mainly on Main Street U.S.A. and in each land), the shops in Disney Adventure World, the shops in Disney Village (no park ticket needed) and your hotel shop if you’re staying at an official Disney Hotel. I go through the main shops in my dedicated article.

02 Can you shop without carrying your bags all day?

Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a collection point, to pick up later in the shop, or as you leave the park in another shop, or even in the shop at your Disney Hotel. The service is free in most shops (above a minimum spend). Just ask the sales assistant when you pay.

03 What are the shops’ opening hours?

The shops in the parks roughly follow the parks’ opening hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the night-time show. The Disney Village shops have their own opening hours, usually later into the evening. The exact times are in the Disneyland Paris app.

04 Can you order Disneyland Paris merchandise online?

There’s no official Disneyland Paris online shop. To buy from home, you can go to the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few Disneyland Paris-specific products. At the resort, you buy directly in the shops.
