At a glance
The General Store is the main shop at Disney Hotel Cheyenne, the hotel inspired by the American Wild West. It takes up the main building, with a blue facade topped by a rustic wooden awning, in the style of a western-town store.
The outside sign reads "Est. 1856", setting the scene in the mid-nineteenth century, at the height of the push west. Inside you’ll find dark wooden floors, paintings of the American plains and a decorative balustrade hung with American flags and hats, with a few flags of the UK and Colorado slipped in too.
The range mixes Disney souvenirs (plush toys, toys, figurines, Disney ears, pins), clothing and accessories for adults and kids, homeware, sweets, drinks and food, plus a Toy Story section and everyday essentials (toiletries, baby items). The PhotoPass+ service is available on site.

Pros and cons
Strong points
- Central position in the main building of Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne
- Highly immersive interior
- A wide range combining Disney souvenirs and everyday essentials
- A section dedicated to Toy Story merchandise
Weak points
- Located outside the parks
- A narrower range than the big shops in the parks
My verdict
The hotel shop I know best: the Cheyenne is my favourite hotel. On every stay, an evening visit to the General Store is part of the ritual: the Wild West general store look fits the hotel’s atmosphere perfectly.
It’s also one of the most practical: souvenirs, a Toy Story section and all the essentials for when you’ve forgotten a toothbrush.
Julie’s tip
Best time to visit
Drop by in the late afternoon or evening, on your way back from the parks: the shop follows the rhythm of the hotel.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you shop for Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
You have four main options: the shops in Disneyland Park (mainly on Main Street U.S.A. and in each land), the shops in Disney Adventure World, the shops in Disney Village (no park ticket needed) and your hotel shop if you’re staying at an official Disney Hotel. I go through the main shops in my dedicated article.
02 Can you shop without carrying your bags all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a collection point, to pick up later in the shop, or as you leave the park in another shop, or even in the shop at your Disney Hotel. The service is free in most shops (above a minimum spend). Just ask the sales assistant when you pay.
03 What are the shops’ opening hours?
The shops in the parks roughly follow the parks’ opening hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the night-time show. The Disney Village shops have their own opening hours, usually later into the evening. The exact times are in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you order Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online shop. To buy from home, you can go to the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few Disneyland Paris-specific products. At the resort, you buy directly in the shops.
