What your ticket includes, at a glance

In practice, once you’ve paid for entry, almost your whole day is already covered. Only three things are separate: parking, fast track and photos. Here are the details, item by item.

Included in your ticket

  • Entry to 1 or 2 parks depending on the ticket you choose
  • All the rides in both parks
  • All the shows and parades of the day
  • The evening night-time shows, Disney Tales of Magic and Disney Cascade of Lights (one per park)
  • Meeting the Disney characters
  • Access to all the restaurants and shops in the parks
  • Booking a restaurant table in advance
  • Access to the Disney Premier Access platform (the purchase itself costs extra)
  • Access to Disney Village and its activities
  • Free access to the lobbies, shops and restaurants of most Disney hotels
  • The park’s essential services, including the toilets (free)

Not included (extra cost)

  • The visitor car park (paid)
  • The Disney Premier Access fast track (paid)
  • Guaranteed spots or access at shows and parades
  • Disney PhotoPass photos (printed or digital)
  • Meals (no meals are included in a day ticket)
  • Access to the pools, spas, steam rooms and saunas of the Disney hotels
  • Access to the Disneyland Hotel, only for its guests or with a confirmed booking
  • Early entry to the parks (only for guests at a Disney hotel)
  • Luggage storage, pushchair hire and luggage transfer

Everything included in your ticket

Once you’re through the gates, most of your day is covered by your ticket. You pay nothing more to enjoy the rides, shows and characters. Here’s what’s covered, by theme.

All the rides

The rides in both parks are open to you at no extra cost, with the normal queue. You can ride them as many times as you like during the day.

Shows and parades

All the daytime shows, the parades and the evening night-time shows, Disney Tales of Magic and Disney Cascade of Lights (one in each park), are included. You can watch them freely, subject to space.

Character meets

Meeting and photographing the Disney characters is included. Only character meals cost extra.

Restaurants and shops

You can walk freely into all the restaurants and shops in the parks. You can even book a table in advance. You only pay for what you eat or buy.

Disney Village and hotels

Disney Village (shops, restaurants, cinema) is free to enter, even without a ticket. Most Disney hotels also let you into their lobbies and shops. Only the Disneyland Hotel is restricted to its guests or visitors with a confirmed booking (restaurant, spa).

What’s not included (and where to find out more)

A few services come up often in first-time visitors’ questions. They’re not included in the ticket. Here’s which ones and where to read the details.

  • The visitor car park Allow around €30/day for a car. It’s only free for guests at Disney hotels and annual pass holders. Everything is explained in the parking guide.
  • The Disney Premier Access fast track The old free FastPass no longer exists. Fast track access is paid, from €5 per ride. To see when it’s worth it, read the queues guide.
  • Disney PhotoPass photos Photos taken by the official photographers and on the rides cost extra, around €90 for the unlimited download option.
  • Guaranteed spots at shows and parades Your ticket lets you watch the shows, but a reserved spot near the stage is a paid extra, to book in the app.
  • Hotel pools, spas and saunas These facilities are reserved for guests staying at the hotel in question. A park ticket doesn’t give access. See the hotels in the hotel comparison.
  • Meals No meals are included in a day ticket. To plan for this cost, see the prices guide. French meal vouchers are accepted outside the parks only.

What’s the difference between a ticket, the MagicPass and the Disneyland Pass?

Three passes have similar names but don’t give the same rights. Here’s how to tell them apart, so you know what each one includes.

Day ticket

For visitors who are not staying in a Disney hotel. Valid for 1 to 4 days depending on the type. It gives you park entry, rides, shows and characters. No parking and no early entry. It’s the subject of this page. To choose the right one, see the ticket comparison.

MagicPass (hotel stay)

Given free to every guest at a Disney hotel at check-in, for the whole stay. It can’t be bought on its own. It works as your room key and gives you free Disney parking. It also opens early entry (Extra Magic Time) and meal plans if you’ve booked one.

Disneyland Pass (annual)

A paid annual pass, with several levels. Nothing to do with the MagicPass for hotel stays. It’s aimed at regular visitors and includes free parking. Everything is explained in the Disneyland Pass guide.

2 parks open at no extra cost
0 meals included in a ticket
€0 extra for rides and shows

Frequently asked questions

01 Does FastPass still exist? Is fast track included in the ticket?

No, the free FastPass no longer exists. It was replaced by Disney Premier Access, which you pay for, from €5 per ride, bought on top of your ticket. To find out when it’s really worth it, see my Premier Access guide.

02 Are PhotoPass photos included in the ticket?

No. Photos taken by the official photographers and on the rides cost extra. The Disney PhotoPass option, which lets you download everything, costs around €90.

03 What’s the difference between a ticket and a Disneyland pass?

The ticket is for visitors who aren’t staying in a Disney hotel, for 1 to 4 days. The MagicPass is given free to Disney hotel guests for their stay. The Disneyland Pass, on the other hand, is a paid annual pass, explained in the Disneyland Pass guide.

04 How many days does a ticket cover?

From 1 to 4 days, depending on the ticket you choose. The 1-day ticket covers 1 or 2 parks, while tickets of 2 days or more give you access to both parks. To compare the options, see the ticket comparison.

05 Can I book a restaurant table with a ticket?

Yes, and it’s included. You can book a table at table-service restaurants up to two months before your visit. You book on the official website, in the app or by phone, and you only pay for the meal itself.

06 Is Premier Access worth it on a first visit?

It depends on the day. Premier Access is paid on top of your ticket, from €5 per ride and per go, and the price climbs on busy days. On busy days (French school holidays, weekends, the Halloween and Christmas seasons) and on the big rides where the wait often goes over an hour, it’s worth it on one or two very popular rides. On a quiet day, it isn’t essential: if you arrive at opening time and follow a logical order, you won’t queue much without paying anything. You buy it in the official app, on the day for Premier Access One. Premier Access Ultimate can also be bought in advance. All the details are in my Premier Access guide.

07 Are shows and character meets included in the ticket?

Yes. Parades, shows and most character meets are included in the admission ticket, at no extra cost. Only some meets built around a meal (character dinners and breakfasts) are paid for, because the meal itself is charged.
