Disneyland Paris golf: everything to know before you book

Yes, the Disneyland Paris golf course still exists and it’s open all year round. It has changed its name: it’s now called Golf Paris Val d’Europe and is run by UGolf, but plenty of golfers still say "Golf Disneyland" out of habit. It’s a proper 27-hole course, open to the public and to all levels, in Magny-le-Hongre, a few minutes from the parks.

Worth knowing straight away: it’s an activity around Disneyland Paris, separate from the parks. You don’t need a park ticket to come and play.

Is the Disneyland golf course open to the public?

Yes. The course is open to the public all year round (every day except 25 December and 1 January) and to all levels, from beginners to experienced players. It’s run by UGolf and is still linked to the Disneyland Paris resort.

In practice, you can come if you’re staying at a Disney hotel, but also if you’re just passing through the area. The driving range and the course welcome occasional players as well as regulars. If you’re a beginner, it’s a quiet way to try golf alongside your trip, without spending a whole day in the parks.

How many holes are there and how is the course laid out?

The course has 27 holes, arranged in three 9-hole loops that can be combined. So you make up your 18 holes by choosing two of the three loops. The course was designed by the architect Ronald Fream. It opened in 1992 and was extended to 27 holes the following year.

All three loops start and finish in front of the clubhouse, which makes the combinations easy to organise. Each 9-hole loop is themed around a Disney story: Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan. A nice touch if the Disney atmosphere is exactly what brings you here.

Where is the golf course and how do you get there from the parks?

The golf course is on rue de la Mare Houleuse, in Magny-le-Hongre (77700), a few minutes from the resort’s parks and hotels. There’s no dedicated shuttle between the parks and the golf course: you get there by car, taxi or private hire car (VTC). Allow a few minutes’ drive from the parks area.

I recommend planning your journey in advance. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel without a car, ask on site (taxi or private hire car) before booking your ride there. The golf course has a car park, which makes things easier if you’re bringing your own equipment.

How to book a tee time at Golf Paris Val d’Europe

You book your tee time in advance, by phone on +33 (0)1 60 45 68 90, or online through the golf course website and green fee booking platforms. Booking ahead guarantees you a slot, especially at the weekend and in the warmer months.

A few useful pointers when you book:

  • Phone: +33 (0)1 60 45 68 90 (to book a tee time)
  • Online: the golf course website and green fee booking platforms
  • Give the date, your preferred time and the number of players
  • Say whether you need to hire equipment or a buggy
  • Remember to check the opening times for the season you’re visiting

How much is a green fee at the Disneyland golf course?

There’s no fixed price list: the cost of a green fee depends on the season, the day of the week and any golf card you may have.

As a rough guide, budget around €40 to €80 for an 18-hole green fee, or more in peak season or at the weekend, to be confirmed when you book. There are also 9-hole options, which are usually cheaper.

I’d rather be careful with figures: prices change and depend on several factors. The most reliable way is to ask for the exact price when you book, giving the date and the slot you’re interested in.

Driving range, clubhouse, restaurant and hire: what’s on site?

The golf course has everything you need for a full half-day: a clubhouse with the restaurant Le 28 and its terrace overlooking the course, a shop (Goofy’s Pro Shop), a driving range with 35 bays (some of them covered), a putting green and a pitching green to warm up, plus changing rooms with showers.

As for equipment, you can hire it on site: clubs, a trolley or a buggy (often with GPS) and shoes as needed. It’s handy if you’re on a Disney holiday and haven’t brought your kit. Hire prices aren’t always published in advance, so ask at the clubhouse or when you book. The first tee time is usually around 8:30-9:00 depending on the season.

Can you play golf during a Disney holiday?

Absolutely, and that’s actually its main appeal if you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Paris: the golf course is one of the things to do around Disneyland Paris. Half a day of golf fits easily into your plans, for example on the morning of a quieter day, before heading to the parks or Disney Village later in the day.

It’s a good option if you want to add some variety to your trip with an activity around Disneyland Paris, separate from the parks. Along the same lines, Imagi Park is another local activity worth exploring if you want a break from the pace of the rides.
